# CCFDDL Open Deadlines > CCFDDL (ccf-deadlines) tracks academic conference submission deadlines, > conference dates, locations, rankings and historical acceptance statistics. > Data is maintained in the public ccfddl/ccf-deadlines repository. **Interpretation** - The latest listed venue is the greatest edition year in the catalog; it may have no announced deadline or may already have passed. It is not necessarily accepting submissions. - An edition year can differ from the calendar year of its submission deadline. - `opening` timestamps are derived from the announced first day with a default 08:00 countdown hour in the edition's submission timezone. They are not verified local event start times. Cite the original `date` text and official conference source for event dates, start times and the event's local timezone. - `opening_is_derived: true` marks generated opening countdowns. MCP copies this source flag; `null` means no opening or undeclared provenance. A `false` flag alone does not verify an event's actual start time. - `TBD`, missing dates and missing statistics are unknown, not estimates. - Pacific (`PT`) clock times skipped or repeated during daylight-saving changes do not identify a unique instant. MCP retains the original time but leaves UTC conversions empty and omits these nodes from upcoming results. - Different submission rounds and abstract/paper deadlines are separate events. - RSS entries are ordered by venue year, newest first. Deadline dates are not publication dates; feed items do not assert unknown publication/update times. Use the iCalendar feed for date-based subscriptions. - Rankings (CCF, CORE and THCPL) belong to their respective ranking systems; CCFDDL displays them and does not define them. - Acceptance rates are historical observations, not predictions. Include the statistics year and source, and preserve any reported data issues. - MCP `fetched_at` is the dataset retrieval time, not the date an individual deadline was last verified. Confirm consequential deadline decisions against the official conference website. - MCP `stale: true` marks an expired conference cache returned after a failed refresh. `acceptance_data.stale` reports the statistics cache independently; it is `null` when no statistics snapshot is available. Original fetch times are retained during fallback. `false` means the cache has not expired, not that individual deadlines or statistics were recently verified. Research area pages use `/venues/{category}/`. Conference series pages use `/venues/{category}/{conference-slug}/` and link to the latest listed venue and past venues. Annual pages use `/venues/{category}/{conference-slug}-{year}/`. Follow links from the directory or sitemap rather than guessing slugs. For a claim about a particular year's deadlines, cite that annual page, include the year and timezone, and link to the official conference source when available. For a conference's history or latest listed venue, cite its series page. **MCP usage** - `get_filter_options`: available research areas, rankings, edition years and event types. - `search_conferences`: search names, subjects, rankings and edition years. - `get_conference`: published deadlines, recent editions and historical acceptance statistics. - `upcoming_deadlines`: future published deadline nodes in a specified time window. - `get_acceptance_rates`: historical acceptance rates, paper counts and recorded sources. Use `conference_key` or a category to distinguish conferences with the same acronym. Follow `next_offset` for paginated results. Use `display_timezone` for local-time conversion and retain the original timezone in deadline citations. MCP results provide `series_url` for histories and `venue_url` for annual pages. Cite `venue_url` for a particular year's deadlines; `website` remains the official conference source. A search result's `venue_url` follows its `latest_edition`, including any requested year filter. `get_conference` returns up to six recent editions by default. `editions_total` counts catalog editions matching the query before the limit. If it exceeds `editions.length`, request a higher `edition_limit` (maximum 20) or query a specific year or edition ID. Do not treat a limited result as complete history. ## Browse and cite - [Venue Directory](https://ccfddl.com/venues/): browse research areas, conference series and the latest listed venues. - [Artificial Intelligence](https://ccfddl.com/venues/ai/): AI conference series and latest listed venues. - [Software Engineering](https://ccfddl.com/venues/se/): software engineering, systems software and programming language venues. - [Database](https://ccfddl.com/venues/db/): database, data mining and information retrieval venues. - [Sitemap](https://ccfddl.com/sitemap.xml): complete list of published directory, research area, series and annual venue pages. - [Main site](https://ccfddl.com/): interactive deadline filters, timezone display and calendar tools. ## Machine-readable data - [Conference catalog](https://ccfddl.com/conference/allconf.json): conference identity, subjects, rankings, editions and deadline timelines. - [Acceptance statistics](https://ccfddl.com/conference/allacc.json): historical submission and acceptance data, with sources where recorded. - [Deadline RSS](https://ccfddl.com/conference/deadlines/deadlines_en.xml): submission and review deadline entries with original dates and timezones in their descriptions. - [Deadline calendar](https://ccfddl.com/conference/deadlines/deadlines_en.ics): iCalendar subscription for submission and review deadlines; this is not a conference schedule. - [Source repository](https://github.com/ccfddl/ccf-deadlines): conference YAML, acceptance data and contribution history. ## MCP access - [Public MCP endpoint](https://ccfddl.com/mcp): Streamable HTTP, public read-only tools. - [MCP documentation](https://github.com/ccfddl/ccf-deadlines/blob/main/worker/mcp/README.md): connection details, arguments, pagination and examples.
